On July 4th the Raleigh Chapter Sons of the American Revolution debuted its North Carolina Brigade Exhibit at the State Capitol in Raleigh.  Pictures from that event are at this link.​​​​​​​

The Sons of the American Revolution held its anual Congress in Greensboro, North Carolina this July.  As part of this event and in honor of our Nation's 250th Anniversary the SAR honored patriots who are buried in the Greensboro area.​​​​​​​

Stuart Sampson's Grave

Patriots Arthur Forbis/Forbes, Sr., Nathanael/Nathaniel Kerr, John Paisley, Sampson Stewart and John Thom are buried at the Alamance Presbyterian Church and were honored at this event.

Buried in the Hillsborough Old Town Cemetery are William Hooper (Signer of the Declaration of Independence), Mrs. Anne Clark/Hooper, William Elmore, George Herndon and James Hogg

Guilford Courthouse Band

Virtual grave markers were placed for patriots John Daves, Robert Dunlap, Jesse Franklin, Jethro Exum Sumner and Andrew Wallace who are buried at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.  In addition, the North Carolina Signers of the Declaration of Independence were honored.

Patriots Joseph Essig/Essex/Esseck, Christopher/Christ Etinger/Edinger/Eddinger/Ottinger, Philip Leonard, John Lopp and Michael Cink/Link/Sink were honored at this grave marking ceremony.  All are buried at the Pilgrim Reformed Church.
