The trail to Second Falls starts at the Graveyard Fields parking area at milepost 418.8 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Most GPS systems will show Second Falls in a search or click on the map below to open Google Maps.
From the Graveyard Fields parking area follow the trail behind the restroom, down the stairs and on to Second Falls - it is only about half a mile. All Trails lists the map as Lower Falls via Graveyard Fields trail.
Second Falls cascades down the rock ledge and then tumbles across borders to a small plunge basin. There are plenty of places to capture a good photo including standing in the plunge basin. Be careful climbing the rocks as they are wet and slippery.
